Litigation Counsel The candidate will be responsible for providing advice and counsel to internal clients and operations teams, as well as assisting in the management of outside counsel representing the Company in ongoing litigation. Oversee and manage litigation being handled by outside counsel, including the pursuit of risk-transfer to subcontractors and their insurers. Assist in management and oversight of multi-division risk mitigation programs. Work closely with customer care representatives nationwide to assist in administration of warranty program. Draft, review and negotiate contracts on behalf of our operations teams. Advise operations teams nationwide regarding a variety of legal issues that arise during the development, construction and sales processes. Assist in quarterly budgeting processes and continually communicate on developments that may impact forecasts. Assist in the implementation and administration of the Company's compliance program. Support and/or lead other projects as assigned by Assistant General Counsel. Must have JD from a competitive law school and current membership in at least one state bar. Should have 4-6 years of litigation experience with law firm and/or in-house. Experience with construction and risk-transfer litigation and related strategies strongly preferred. Construction defect claims defense experience preferred.
