Junior Litigation Attorney Duties: Provide litigation and case management support to senior attorney. Prepare, review and/or revise all pleadings, discovery, motions, and settlement agreements. Research and analyze facts in litigation and relay to external counsel. Engage in pre-litigation dispute resolution and ensure necessary records and information are maintained to protect the company interests in the event of litigation. Create periodic status reports and litigation reports for internal and external auditor use as well as for all regulatory filings. Oversight and management of indemnification claims and recoupment activities. Act as liaison to insurance companies throughout course of litigation. Advise management and other internal stakeholders of the corporation and its subsidiaries on various legal risks and issues. Perform research and analysis on various legal issues affecting the corporation and its subsidiaries. Provide support to Corporate Counsel, Compliance, and General Counsel as needed.
Requirements: JD Degree from an ABA-accredited law school required. Licensed to practice law in at least one state, preferably NJ, NY, FL, and/or CA. Licensure in two or more states highly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with LexisAdvance and/or WestLaw legal research, analysis and writing. Experience in healthcare, medical billing and/or software fields a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong negotiation skills. Thorough knowledge of general contract law and terms. Excels in fast-paced environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
