Corporate Counsel - Contracts and IP Duties: Managing negotiations and drafting agreements for a variety of third-party relationships, including licensing agreements, services and development agreements and non-disclosure agreements. Ensuring adherence with the contracting process by our business partners and coordinating with stakeholders across the organization to ensure adequate review of contracts prior to execution. Conducting IP diligence reviews for selected transactions. Advising on legal disputes over trademark and other intellectual property rights matters. Managing outside counsel handling commercial contracting and IP matters, including trademark maintenance. Partnering with business leaders to establish, maintain and develop credible relationships to accomplish stated goals of the Legal department. Understanding the needs of a variety of businesses across different industries, including financial services, insurance, clearing and e-Sports, to effectively serve the needs of our business partners. Demonstrate a keen ability to issue-spot sensitive legal and business concerns, including a strong sense of when to escalate (and not escalate) such matters to internal partners. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and J.D. from accredited law school, Member in good standing of the Illinois, New York or comparable State Bar. 5+ years of commercial contracting experience, preferably in the software and technology space. Strong knowledge of intellectual property matters, with the ability to provide interpretation and guidance on complex intellectual property matters. Superb analytical, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once. Must be an independent and strategic thinker who is a strong team player (no job is too small or too large) and willing to take on additional responsibilities.
