Senior Corporate Counsel Duties: Partner with business development, pricing, and other internal counterparts throughout the entire deal life-cycle to negotiate, structure and close deals. Will be exposed to a variety of complex transactions, across multiple asset classes within the consumer finance sector, including both direct acquisitions and structured finance deals. Rely on strong relationships with leading external counsel as we evaluate the legal and business issues associated with each transaction. May include traditional in-house legal functions such as general corporate governance, vendor contracts, servicing agreements and legal and regulatory compliance, as necessary.
Qualifications: A JD degree from a top tier law school is required; we are looking for candidates who graduated from a top 25 law school or near the top of their class; and 6+ years of transaction experience working on complex structured finance, M&A, or banking transactions (at least 2 of which should be at an AmLaw 100 firm).
