Counsel, Litigation & Regulatory Affairs The candidate will actively and strategically manage Spin s litigation and pre-litigation matters across various jurisdictions, including managing outside counsel. Serve as the legal point of contact for all requests from law enforcement related to incidents involving Spin users/vehicles as well as public records requests. Inform Spin s product roadmap based on international, national, state, and municipal legislation and permit requirements. Oversee ethics, lobbying, and compliance initiatives and reporting. Track, monitor and advice on state and federal legislation and policy, and draft/edit legislation and statutory proposals as needed. Review and negotiate contracts with regulatory consultants and lobbyists. Additional projects to support the overall Legal team as needed. The candidate should J.D. with 5+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally at a top law firm and/or in-house legal department or government agency. Admission to California Bar is preferred; otherwise, in-house registration in California is required. Substantive experience with litigation and regulatory required; lobbying, legislation drafting, representing technology companies is a bonus. Should have highly responsive and service-oriented with a practical, yet creative problem-solving approach that addresses business needs while protecting Spin's legal interests, ability to manage multiple projects independently, often with short deadlines, effectively prioritize and drive to execution/resolution, ability to collaborate in a team environment and cross-functionally with ability to present to senior management, eagerness to work in a startup environment and roll up your sleeves.
