Corporate Counsel

Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Draft, negotiate and advise on complex commercial agreements. Interface with business teams throughout the Americas and assist in managing outside counsel. Lead and drive the development of our contract templates, standard methodology processes, playbooks, and automation across the entire contract's lifecycle. Manage internal projects to completion. Analyze products, policies and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies. Liaise with finance, sales operations, and other business units for approval of contractual terms and conditions on specific areas of expertise. Stay current on the industry and on relevant laws and regulations impacting our business. Identify, champion, and provide training on best practices for corporate policies and procedures. Advise multiple stakeholders on complex matters. Build and foster strong internal and external relationships.

Qualifications: A Juris Doctor degree and be licensed and good standing with the Bar in at least one state or the District of Columbia as well as have the ability to obtain a corporate counsel certificate in Virginia. 3 years of legal experience either in-house or with a law firm. Technology transactions experience is highly valued. Litigation management experience and/or willingness to take on such work. The ability to work within an international company and work effectively with different cultures is preferred. Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred. Professional verbal and written communication skills within all corporate levels. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, etc.). Ability to consistently deliver the highest quality of work. Ability to work independently without heavy supervision and handle multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to work in a global environment across multiple time zones. Excellent interpersonal and professional communications skills; verbally, written, face-to-face, and over the phone with vendors and all levels of staff and management in English required and Spanish strongly preferred.
