Annuity and Life Insurance Products Attorney Responsibilities: Assist in servicing the retail annuity and life insurance portion of the Company's business; Developing and maintaining the Company's annuity and life insurance products; Servicing the Company's reinsurance activities; Maintaining regulatory compliance.
Qualifications: J.D. from Accredited Law School; strong academic background. Member of the Bar (any state) in good standing; ability to become licensed for in-house practice in Kansas if not Kansas licensed. 3-6 years of legal experience. Knowledge of and experience applying and advising on insurance and securities laws as applicable to fixed, fixed index, and variable annuities and/or life insurance. Experience with the distribution side of the business (e.g., broker/dealers, independent marketing organizations, and agencies) is helpful. Familiarity with reinsurance transactions is a plus. Knowledge of and experience applying and advising on insurance laws as applicable generally to the conduct of business by insurance companies and their holding companies, as well as general corporation law.
