Corporate Counsel Duties: Effectively handles assigned legal activities for business units, functions or legal practice areas. Supports or leads projects and teams providing legal support and solutions to the company's business units or corporate departments. Provides focused and practical legal advice respecting business operations as well as the impact of current or anticipated laws, rules and regulations. Researches, develops and coordinates implementation of legal solutions. Identifies and analyzes existing and emerging legal risks. Develops and implements business-focused strategies to manage risks. Assists the development and implementation of policies, procedures and control mechanisms to promote compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations. Stays abreast of new regulations and emerging legal risks; provides proactive advice and counsel to business units and corporate functions that may be impacted. Demonstrates the development of core legal expertise and support for legal affairs of business units or enterprise-wide functions. Develops understanding of the operational model by which the supported business unit or enterprise-wide function operates. Supports clients on a cost-effective basis. Manages outside counsel in an efficient and cost-effective manner, as necessary. Engages, communicates with and advises mid-management and operational business level of such clients. Develops understanding of how legal support affects objectives, risks and returns of business clients. Supervisory Responsibility. May manage or provide work direction or review the work of IC level support staff (paralegals, admins, fellows, law clerks, etc.). Performs other duties as assigned. Provide general legal support to the National Accounts organization of The Americas Group and the Global Supply Chain Division in the area of general commercial law. Draft, negotiate and review contracts and other documents with legal implications that are encountered in the Company's business. Provide legal opinions and advice to all levels of management on issues of operational and strategic significance. Develop tools and processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness of legal support. Manage and direct outside counsel, as needed.Evaluate operations and policies for compliance with local, state and federal laws. Develop and maintain knowledge of company systems and procedures relevant to commercial contracting and other areas of general legal support. Develop and maintain knowledge relevant to subject matter areas of legal support. Act as a business partner to the organizations and business units assigned for legal support. Create and maintain positive relationships, and proactively work to develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Company's business and operations. Develop knowledge on risk tolerances for the business.

Requirements: JD Degree. 5+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the effective use of active listening and interviewing skills. Advanced problem-solving skills. Adaptability and flexibility. Strong time-management and organizational skills. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Confidence and assertiveness to interact with business management and external resources. Excellent project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, interactive, results-based team environment.
