Corporate Counsel - Insurance Regulatory Counsel Duties: Working as part of a cross-functional team, provide insight on regulatory strategy and provide practical solution-based advice to clients. Partner with internal business and Government Affairs teams to assist in analyzing state and federal regulatory and legislative developments impacting Insurance and our customers. Work collaboratively within the wider Insurance legal team, Insurance business unit, Legal & Compliance team, and beyond to analyze impacts of, and support client implementation in compliance with regulatory and legislative developments. Prioritize learning about our products and services and understanding our clients and our customers points of view. Provide support for the business regarding customer audits and other matters. Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies, customers and other third parties. Review marketing materials and provide support to the marketing team. Anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems within the assigned business units. Develop strategies to reduce potential areas of risk. Assist more senior attorneys and management in higher level matters, as needed. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: JD degree from an accredited law school required. Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state Bar. 5+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal department. Experience counseling clients on legislative matters and working with regulators. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Strong legal analytical and research skills required. Experience in insurance industry or data/technology industry is preferred.
