Senior Counsel, Privacy

Senior Counsel, Privacy Responsibilities: Support the global privacy program to ensure business practices meet legal compliance. Champion and support cross-functional data protection and privacy projects. Deliver strategic privacy legal advice and insights to legal and non-legal teams throughout the organization. Develop and deliver training, guidelines, playbooks and standard methodologies on privacy and data protection matters. Review and complete risk assessments (including DPIAs, TIAs, TRAs) and privacy compliance documentation. Act as the escalation point for commercial agreements involving privacy, including negotiation of DPAs and other privacy-related provisions. Stay informed of changes and developments in privacy laws, regulations, standards and guidance.

Requirements: JD Degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar. 7+ years of related privacy experience. Experience with U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws, regulations and standards, including GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, PIPEDA. Experience with APAC is a plus. CIPP/US certification. CIPP/E certification is a plus. Experience providing pragmatic advice to internal clients on legal risks. Excellent communication skills. Experience working with SaaS at a global tech company. Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously. Problem solver with a focus on practical solutions and guidance. Accountable and hands-on, self-starter, results-oriented. Strong interest in global privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
