Sr. Product Corporate Counsel/corporate Counsel

Senior Product Corporate Counsel/Corporate Counsel The candidate will be responsible for partnering with global product and engineering teams to build partnerships and third-party integrations across the Webex portfolio. In addition, will closely partner with product management, engineering, business development, marketing, compliance and operations teams to support e-commerce platform, Webex Online. Provide guidance to product management and engineering teams on issues related to new and existing services, products, and features throughout the entire product lifecycle. Be a resident expert and resource on issues related to privacy and data protection on a global basis. Assist with the acquisition and integration of products, content, services, and technologies, including due diligence and integration related to mergers and acquisitions. Develop a strong understanding of the Collaboration portfolio product architecture and all features and functionality supported by the platforms. Work with product and engineering teams to ensure our products and services comply with existing applicable regulations. Support the technology acquisitions legal team in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements with third party vendors. Partner with privacy stakeholders in identifying privacy risks and in conducting privacy impact assessments. Monitor and analyze developments in regulations applicable to product and service offerings and advise internal teams as necessary. Synthesize input from outside counsel, own research, and feedback from internal stakeholders to provide practical guidance applicable to product teams. Should have 5+ years of relevant legal, in-house and law firm experience. Must have J.D. with strong academic record. Bar admission in good standing. Proven leadership skills and track record for building business relationships and gaining client trust are required. Should have ability to quickly absorb, evaluate and respond to new and novel issues and to craft creative legal or business solutions. Must have solid knowledge of software licensing, intellectual property, global privacy laws and marketing. Should have experience negotiating contracts with technology partners. External privacy and/or security certification(s) (CIPP/E, CISM, CCSK) is a plus.
