Associate General Counsel, Intellectual Property Responsibilities: Responsible for analyzing complex issues and developing and presenting practical IP solutions; ensuring adequate protection of intellectual property to protect innovation and related product revenue; and ensuring appropriate consideration of IP risk for company technology, products and services.? Own the development of our global intellectual property function and play an instrumental role in achieving growth through innovation and the development of an integrated intellectual property strategy. Develop and implement the Company's intellectual property strategy to align activities with the Company's business strategy and priorities. Assist in the creation and implementation of appropriate global patent strategies for the protection of innovations by the Company, working in coordination with the senior leaders of Engineering. Lead our Intellectual Property team to provide a full spectrum of intellectual property legal services including patent and trademark protection, surveillance, enforcement, licensing, R&D contracts, and litigation. Counsel senior management on all intellectual property maters, including advising on the cost and effective use of intellectual property, avoiding or reducing the adverse impact of third-party intellectual property; and counseling on legal issues relating to counterfeiting. Assisting in intellectual property litigation matters and claims. Provide and manage all IP-related transaction matters for client groups. Provide direction for client groups on invention disclosure process and in all aspects of the product development process. Provide oversight of all issues relating to Analog Devices Inc. trademark portfolio. Develop systems for management of and oversee management of all outside IP professional service providers including management of costs and cost containment measures associated with intellectual property services. Collaborate and manage IP budget and forecasting. Executive and group level presentation skills. Develop and provide intellectual property training to enterprise. Manage all IP-related ADI litigation.

Requirements: Must possess a law degree, be registered with the USPTO, and be a member of a State Bar in good standing. Computer or Electrical Engineering Degree Required. 12+years of patent legal experience, with at least 5 years of in-house experience,?preferably in managing the intellectual property assets of a semiconductor, consumer products, electronics or manufacturing company with global scope, as well as law firm experience. Collaborative, business minded and team orientated, promoting innovation, agility, motivation and an inclusive work environment throughout the team. Strong business acumen including the ability to think like a business person and integrate legal and business issues, so as to partner effectively with business leaders. Business-oriented approach to problem solving, tempered by an appreciation for legal complexity and is excellent coach and mentor who values working cross-functionally and the success of the team. Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence with the ability to stand firm on issues with business clients when necessary. Excellent communication, negotiation skills, and executive level presentation skills. Significant experience in ITC, IPR and all phases of patent infringement litigation including conducting infringement risk assessment and evaluations, developing and coordinating pre-litigation plans and strategies and managing litigation and trial teams. Significant experience in developing and implementing global patent and trademark strategies while enabling innovation throughout the organization. Grounding in patent preparation and prosecution on a global basis and experience in PCT and European and Chinese patent practice. Must be proficient at defining and implementing new processes. Experience working with trademarks. Superior legal and analytical skills ? excellent judgment and initiative in selecting the most effective solutions and possess a business-oriented approach to problem solving. Requires a high degree of self-sufficiency, independent judgment and a business appreciation all with a view to managing risk in the most cost-effective manner. Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize conflicting demands from multiple clients (including senior executives) in a fast-paced environment. Experience and ability to consider financial implications of legal strategy and to manage external law firms and internal activities in line with budget. Detail-oriented and resourceful with excellent follow-through skills. Comfort working with ambiguity and providing practical and useful legal advice.
