Senior Cybersecurity Counsel & Privacy Officer Duties: Lead and support data security incident response investigations and remediate them in accordance with Chubb's incident response protocols. Manage outside counsel and coordinate with litigation on cyber and privacy related disputes. Facilitate global and regional incident response preparedness exercises. Provide advice on cybersecurity legislation, laws, regulations, case law, frameworks and best practices and facilitate the implementation of compliance and other initiatives. Provide advice in relation to cybersecurity and privacy audits and regulatory inquires and examinations. Provide advice to facilitate compliance with applicable laws regulating the use and protection of personal information including GLBA, CCPA, CPRA, FCRA, HIPAA and GDPR. Work with third-party risk management and contract teams on information security and privacy controls and perform Data Protection Impact Assessments. Facilitate projects designed to ensure data security and privacy protection principles are applied throughout the data life cycle. Assist in the development and implementation of cybersecurity and privacy training and awareness campaigns.
Qualifications: JD Degree with 10+ years of experience in a law firm or an in-house corporate law department. Deep experience in data security incident response and remediation, including investigations and data subject and regulatory notifications. Strong knowledge of federal, state and international information security and privacy laws, regulations, and regulatory guidelines including insurance privacy laws, and breach notification laws. Strong knowledge of laws relating to cross border data transfer. Strong knowledge of third-party privacy and security risk management. Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization and balance and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects. Strong leadership, project management and consultative skills. Privacy certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT highly desired. Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or similar is a plus. Financial services/insurance industry experience highly desired.
