Associate Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents including service agreements, software licenses, Saas subscription agreements with a focus on privacy laws, indemnification, and insurance provisions. Draft and help prepare board and committee meeting materials, SEC filings and proxy materials. Assist with corporate governance matters and securities compliance. Assist with the planning and implementation of the organization's ESG strategies. Assist with pre-litigation claims and litigation matters involving personal injury, EEOC complaints, worker's compensation, fair housing complaints, construction claims, and liens. Research and advise on legal issues regarding fair housing, multi-family property operation, license and permit requirements and eviction laws. Provide supervision to outside lawyers hired to assist the corporation with their specialized legal services.
Qualifications: 4-7 years experience overall. Previous experience overseeing similar responsibilities within a similar industry a plus. Prior in-house experience is a plus. Strong commitment to quality of service and quality of work is required. Ability to be a reliable and positive team player is a must. Must be highly organized, detail oriented and able to work on multiple tasks at a time. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
