Associate General Counsel - General Corporate Responsibilities: Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of legal documents and commercial contracts, including financing arrangements, vendor agreements, professional services contracts, employment agreements, and confidentiality agreements. Responsible for corporate governance matters, including resolutions and other Board materials. Responsible for providing legal support to HR on employee relation matters, including preparing executive employment letters. Provide support on the legal aspects of company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance. Responsible for managing the legal aspects of the Company's lending and servicing licensing regime. All other legal tasks assigned. Manage a team of one junior attorney and one paralegal.
Qualifications: Juris Doctoral degree from an accredited school of law. 6-8 years experience in either general corporate (governance, HR, licensing, contracts). Law firm experience preferred. Comfortable with seeking direction where necessary but also work independently where appropriate. Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong critical thinking skills. Adaptability and attention to detail. Ability to communicate in writing and verbally effectively. Experience managing attorneys or paralegals a plus.
