Contracts Counsel - Remote Duties: Handle the drafting, review, and negotiation of a variety of types of contracts, consistent with company policies and objectives. Advise internally of associated risk and devise strategies to minimize such risk. Enforce organizational contract policies and procedures. Review sales contracts, identify issues, obtain internal feedback from appropriate department heads and personnel, work with sales team to identify client requirements and contract needs, and work with in-house and outside attorneys to prepare and negotiate contract terms. Review requests for proposal and identify potential risks; draft exceptions to protect the company's interests and adapt the terms to the applicable services. Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communicate with internal and external clients about contract issues. Maintain accurate and updated reports on contract status. Other legal duties as requested by legal department management. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and JD Degree. Prior legal experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job, with a preference toward 2+ years experience post-graduation from law school, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Prior legal experience, particularly in commercial contract review, revision, and negotiation, including SaaS contracts, etc a plus. Must have positive attitude and be a team player both within the legal department and in interactions with all other departments in order to accomplish company objectives.
