Sr Attorney - Environmental and Land Use The candidate will provide legal support to a number of FPL divisions to seek permits, to aid in compliance and to defend enforcement. Provides written and oral legal advice to clients. Anticipates and guards against legal risks involving the organization. Works to ensure budget compliance and avoids the need for outside counsel. Ensures disclosure of potentially material legal issues to senior leadership. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Will be working with the Florida DEP, the water management districts, and counties and local governments.

The candidate should be a member in Good Standing of State Bar. High School Grad / GED. Juris Doctorate required. Bachelor's Degree. Experience of 5+ years required. Must have some background in land use and zoning. Must have a knowledge of relevant water, waste, species and other state and federal environmental regulations. The job requires some travel around the state of Florida to appear at county commission meetings and to meet with state agencies and other stakeholders.
