Senior Corporate Counsel

Senior Corporate Counsel The candidate will provide corporate advice and support on legal issues for the company. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a high volume of client and third-party agreements, including client service agreements, NDAs and vendor agreements. Advise business colleagues on compromise positions and risks relative to such provisions. Conduct negotiations with external third parties, elevating unresolved legal issues to other members of the legal department as appropriate. Assist with projects. Examples may include projects such as assisting in the preparation of internal client communications and conducting internal client training on topics such as confidentiality and contracting requirements. Assist with responding to RFP proposals to prospective clients. The candidate should have JD with license to practice law. Must have minimum 5 years of legal-related experience, with a strong preference for law firm experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Track record of working independently and exercising good consistent good judgment. Proven ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously and to see tasks through to completion. Industry experience in insurance, brokerage, or insurance regulation. Ability to collaborate across levels and business units effectively. Must be able to identify liability exposures and provide practical and creative solutions to both manage risk and support growth. Must be able to work independently, effectively communicate with business colleagues and exercise sound legal and commercial judgment. The ability to prioritize work and to work efficiently is a must. Keep up with industry-related standards and changes, as well as country/region specific regulatory changes.
