Assistant General Counsel - Insurance Duties: Determine appropriate contract templates, modify templates as necessary and develop supplementary contract language as needed for specific supplier / vendor transactions. Work collaboratively and serve as the primary point of contact with legal resources and the business to identify gaps between proposed contract terms and identified business requirements. Provide expert guidance to the business by understanding the impact of contractual decisions on the business, the project, and third parties (financial, commercial and reputational risk). Participate in Insurance meetings to understand various programs. Develop relationship with the brokers to facilitate contract negotiations in line with coverage. Reviewing, evaluating, and advising on insurance- and risk-related contractual terms and conditions for projects and pursuits as requested by Head of Insurance, Americas overseeing broker partners participation in contract review processes as applicable. Knowledge of key insurance coverage, including but not limited to, General Liability, Excess Liability, Professional Liability, Pollution and Cyber. Coordinate with the in house and external claims teams to understand where there is opportunity to improve contractual commitments. Collaborate with and/or influence others to understand and integrate procedures which enhance the overall functioning of the project and greater business.

Requirements: Bachelor ?s Degree or equivalent working experience. Paralegal certificate / JD Degree desirable. 8+ years of relevant professional experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts. Self-motivated, self-starter, and proven ability to work independently. Able to see things from others ? point of view; is open-minded without being easily persuaded Proven ability to interact, develop and maintain a positive working relationship with personnel on all levels, both within the company and externally. Proven ability to influence outcomes. Demonstrated commercial aptitude with an appropriate risk-averse mindset with the ability to be flexible. Passionate work ethic. Excellent written communication skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to direct and organize others. Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail. Encourages and models teamwork and strives for excellence. In-depth knowledge of the company ?s organizational structure and its policies and procedures.
