Counsel, Employment Law Responsibilities: Provide counsel to human resources and management on employee relations, leave and accommodations, performance management, discipline, separations, wage and hour, federal/state/local law compliance, and other employment issues involving Chick-fil-A, Inc.'s non-restaurant subsidiaries, related entities, affiliates and new ventures. Lead or strategically advise on internal investigations involving Chick-fil-A, Inc.'s non-restaurant subsidiaries, related entities, affiliates and new ventures. Lead and develop training programs for human resources and management of Chick-fil-A, Inc.'s non-restaurant subsidiaries, related entities, affiliates and new ventures. Lead or partner with human resources and management in the development of on-going employment related strategies and HR projects, processes and initiatives for Chick-fil-A, Inc.'s non-restaurant subsidiaries, related entities, affiliates and new ventures. Lead efforts to prepare and update critical human resources documents (e.g., policies, handbooks, and other communications) for Chick-fil-A, Inc.'s non-restaurant subsidiaries, related entities, affiliates and new ventures. Partner with or assist senior attorneys in the Company's defense of employment litigation and pre-litigation matters arising out of Chick-fil-A, Inc.'s non-restaurant subsidiaries, related entities, affiliates and new ventures, including lawsuits, demand letters, EEOC charges, and other government audits and investigations. Partner with or assist senior attorneys to prepare for and/or respond to unionization efforts and activities and other traditional labor matters. Serve on cross-functional teams and attend business meetings to provide legal advice to business partners on a wide variety of employment law and related subjects across the organization. Assist senior attorneys with managing outside counsel, leading team meetings, and other administrative matters, including input into planning, budgeting and strategy for the team.

Qualifications: Four (4) year college degree. Law degree from accredited law school. State Bar membership. 4 years of broad experience in employment litigation and employment/human resources advice and counseling. Preferred Qualifications: Subject-matter focused in-house corporate experience and/or large law firm and/or employment and labor defense boutique experience. Strong communication skills. Strong writing and editing skills. Strong analytical and reasoning skills. Ability to identify and set priorities. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. High level of initiative and desire to work with an in-house legal department. Ability to serve leadership and supporting roles in cross-functional projects and/or on cross-functional teams.
