Senior Counsel, Litigation US Responsibilities: Responsible for the management of a wide range of general corporate, class action, commercial, insurance recovery, product liability, Proposition 65, and civil litigation matters. Provide counsel and guidance for the successful defense and resolution of suits filed against the Company, while fully complying with applicable laws and regulations; provide informed cost-benefit analysis when identifying risks; and select and recommend alternative methods of dispute resolution, when appropriate. Contribute to achieving both corporate and business unit strategic goals as a proactive member of the legal team and as a functional partner with other business and specialist counsel. Proactively set and execute legal strategies anticipating and addressing changes in laws, regulations, and business environment to the advantage and benefit of the Company. Serve as the primary advisor for legal hold issues, e-discovery, and subpoenas. Develop and provide best practices training to internal stakeholders. Develop and implement creative partnerships, approaches, and ideas regarding the management of the litigation budget. Work with the Legal Operations lead to select and retain competent, cost-effective outside counsel and experts. Develop strong working relationships with outside counsel, frame their performance goals, guide their work efforts and monitor their performance against budget.

Qualifications: JD from an accredited law school or equivalent international legal education. Must be a member of the New Jersey bar or be eligible to register as an In-House attorney as required by the New Jersey Rules of Court R. 1:27-2. 8-10 years of US litigation experience at a top-tier law firm handling all stages of litigation combined with previous in-house experience preferred. Proven track record of successfully managing complex litigation. Experience managing lawyers and/or other legal professionals.
