Senior Paralegal Responsibilities: Conduct legal research, including 50-state surveys on various insurance regulatory matters, such as policyholder notice requirements, surplus lines matters, and other underwriting or licensing issues. Maintain a library of all insurance regulatory research. Liaise with business partners and attorneys on certain vendor contracts, such as NDAs, SOWs, and amendments. Review marketing collateral, assign marketing identification numbers to collateral, and maintain marketing collateral log. Assist with corporate governance matters, including board meeting preparations and consent actions. Provide support in closing corporate-level transactions, including acquisitions and financings. Aid attorneys with meditation, arbitration, and litigation matters. Perform OFAC screenings on policyholders and claimants. Monitor legal and regulatory developments; and assist in communicating relevant law changes to management and/or field units. Help with compiling and preparing responses to market-conduct and insurance regulatory financial exams. Prepare training materials on cancellation, nonrenewal, and conditional renewal notices. Research non-insurance regulatory matters, as needed. Prepare Uniform Certificate of Authority Application (UCAA) materials.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Paralegal license required. 5+ years of paralegal experience in insurance and corporate matters. 5+ years of legal experience. Knowledge of commercial property and casualty business. Working knowledge of corporate governance and transactional matters. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with a careful eye for detail. Excellent consultative and facilitation skills with the ability to effectively and appropriately interact with internal and external business partners. Ability to exercise independent judgment and to work with and maintain confidential and sensitive information, while also working effectively within a team and collaborating with others. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and other business-related software. Proficient in LexisNexis, NILS InSource, and ODEN Online.
