Intellectual Property Counsel The candidate will be preparing patent applications and prosecuting patents globally. Performing opposition, IPR, and litigation-related support activities in IP disputes. Preparing and negotiating intellectual property agreements. Acting as direct contact for and interacting with business clients, outside counsel, and international colleagues. Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with US Export Control Laws.
The candidate should have a Juris Doctor degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited law school and a member of a United States Bar in good standing. Three (3) years of law firm and/or in-house intellectual property experience in a private, public, government or military environment. Registered to Practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Admitted to practice in Minnesota or eligible for admission within six months of employment. Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or similar discipline from an accredited institution preferred. Strong academic credentials. Business acumen and an ability to provide legal and compliance advice in the context of strategic business initiatives and goals. Experience involving litigation and other patent disputes.
