Director, Privacy Counsel Duties: Advising business clients on day-to-day legal risks and compliance issues of US and global data protection laws, including General Data Protection Regulation, Binding Corporate Rules, and US State Privacy Laws, including HIPAA, COPPA, FCRA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, CCPA, CPRA, VCDPA, and Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices, with an emphasis on internal operations and initiatives. Advising business regarding data collection, use and management in compliance with applicable policies, legal requirements and industry best practices. Partnering with business teams on the launch of new products, services, vendor integrations and marketing initiatives to ensure a privacy-by-design strategy is adopted. Provide counsel on the privacy implications of the Company's internal information technology infrastructure and external web platforms and mobile applications. Advising business on privacy compliance for communications activities including email, text messaging, phone calls, and chat applications. Drafting and maintaining internal and external privacy policies/notices that accurately reflect how personal information is handled. Managing privacy compliance for Human Resources activities and employee data. Assisting in management of international data transfer requirements related to above activities. Negotiating and drafting privacy and security provisions for agreements related to the above activities, including vendor agreements for technology software and services and payment services. Providing legal support for Global Technology Services and Cybersecurity functions and assisting with data privacy aspects of Incident Management Program. Develop and implement Company and Member privacy trainings that educate parties on their responsibilities with respect to personal information. Liaising with the Ethics and Compliance department on the retention and disposal of personal data records in the Company's online and offline data filing systems. Providing strategy and legal support to Global Technology in the areas of cookie compliance, including policies and guidelines on proper cookie consent, cookie inventorying, and risky deployments. Managing the Company's data mapping and classification software, including the integration of additional technologies used in the assessment and inventorying of data elements across the Company's online data filing systems. Assist the Sr. Director, WW Privacy, with managing departmental & regional compliance with the global privacy program and annual audits of the same.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. JD Degree. Member of California bar or other U.S. state Bar. CIPP/US, CIPP/E and/or CIPM certification. 7+ years of experience as an attorney at a global law firm. 5+ years of experience on privacy matters. 3+ years of management responsibility. Experience with reporting and communication at all levels. Strong academic record from top tier law school. Experience in a customer service-oriented environment. Highly-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to train and interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity. Skilled in cultivating an environment where employees respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics.. Expertise in US and international privacy and security laws, regulations, frameworks, and best practices.. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with senior management and Members. In-depth understanding of how to conduct thorough investigative research, possessing deep fact-finding skills and information analysis, and accurately relate details. Ability to solve practical problems and organize workload for effective implementation of new rules and processes. Proven ability to perform efficiently under varied timelines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated project management skills. Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves. Effectively advocate the philosophy and practical application of the Member Rules of Conduct. Ability to think analytically and strategically. Strong quality and results orientation. Strong work ethics, positive leadership and maintenance of a strong team-working environment. Ability to facilitate progressive change.
