Corporate Counsel The candidate will provide legal support in drafting, negotiating, and advising on transactions for internal and external efforts. Reporting to our Chief Legal Officer, the successful candidate will need to provide timely and business-practical legal advice on complex matters, will have current market knowledge related to technology contracting and a strong understanding of intellectual property law, and will be able to manage multiple priorities and interact with senior members of management. Review, markup/draft (from forms and from scratch), negotiate and close commercial contracts, including master services agreements, statements of work, licenses, RFP responses, and supporting documents across the company. Collaborate with and facilitate cross-team decision-making among the Legal team, Finance team, business teams, and other internal teams. Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners. Provide rapid, practical, business-oriented legal/commercial contract advice directly to business clients. Support business clients in negotiating price, deliverables, services scope, warranty, and other commercial terms. Apply innovative problem-solving skills and practical business judgment to maximize revenues, minimize risk and foster long-term relationships. Develop and implement projects to simplify processes, automate, eliminate bottlenecks, and scale in response to the growth of the business and the legal department. Assist in the management of contract documentation workflows, approvals, reporting, and archiving consistently with internal processes. Manage assigned projects to completion. Support the needs of the Chief Legal Officer and handle other projects as requested. Demonstrate positive customer service skills through communication, both internal and external. Should have Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Utah is a must. Should have 5+ years of experience in a global law firm and/or in an in-house legal department. Should have strong experience in contract drafting and negotiation with a good understanding of intellectual property-related issues; in representing SaaS companies. Should have the ability to communicate information accurately and comprehensively, while being concise and digestible for non-lawyers; thrive in a growing, fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism and outstanding business judgment; work independently and be self-motivated in a fast-paced environment; represent the Weave brand at all engagements. Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
