Contracts Attorney The candidate drafts and negotiates key company contracts and provides strategic and proactive legal advice to applicable business clients, including with respect to market access agreements, strategic partnership agreements, sponsorship agreements, payment processing agreements, affiliate agreements and non-disclosure agreements. Maintains an effective and organized form library and executed contract repository. Inspires confidence in business clients by consistently providing well-reasoned legal advice and practical solutions to complex issues. Exhibits a strong work ethic and takes ownership of complex projects with minimal supervision while demonstrating sound judgment and superior decision-making, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills; meets prescribed deadlines. Demonstrates leadership and team-working skills in support of a collaborative environment. Exhibits utmost professionalism in all settings; is capable of deploying strong advocacy skills in a tactful and effective manner. Consistently produces excellent work product. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers, internal clients, and external business partners. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and demonstrates the utmost integrity in all settings. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer, which may include support with gaming regulatory, privacy, marketing compliance or corporate record matters.
The candidate should have Juris Doctor Degree. Should have 1-3 years of progressive responsibility and legal expertise in contract drafting and negotiations. Should be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state. Gaming license registration as required by applicable jurisdictions is required. Must have substantive knowledge and understanding of legal strategies and principles; ability to analyze and apply legal principles and precedents to legal issues; ability to perform legal research, evaluate alternatives and make sound recommendations. Should have excellent research and writing skills; ability to prepare clear, concise and complete legal documents, reports, correspondence and other communications materials on complex legal issues; ability to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms; ability to make effective public presentations. Ability to exercise initiative, independent judgment, and work with discretion is required. Should have ability to deal effectively with all business contacts, including government agencies, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, internal clients, and external business partners. Basic proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook is required.
