Assistant General Counsel - Employment The candidate will ensure compliance with - and provide strategic guidance related to - all Federal, State, and Local employment and employee-related laws and requirements (including the FLSA, OSHA, and other COVID-related legislation, EEO, ADA, ADEA, the FMLA, and related state leave laws, pay equity requirements, etc.); identify and communicate trends and risks regarding the same. Draft employment-related agreements and policies, including offer letters, severance agreements, confidentiality and non-solicit agreements, independent contractor agreements, Employee Handbooks, and related policies, etc. Provide support on Executive Compensation-related matters, including review of Incentive Plans, ensuring compliance with deferred compensation requirements, advising on external executive compensation trends, etc. Collaborate with HR to ensure effective resolution of sensitive employment-related matters, including terminations, investigations, complaints, etc. Provide legal support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle (hiring, performance management, training, DEI, development, terminations). Support immigration matters, including supporting HR in communications with external immigration consultants. Advise on all benefits compliance matters and ensure adherence to various governmental filings. Develop training to support a culture of compliance and respect.

The candidate should have a JD degree and an active license to practice. Should have 6+ years of experience in employment, benefits, or executive compensation law. Ability to see the big picture without losing the ability to execute. Experience with large, non-exempt employee population preferred. Excellent communications skills (written and verbal).
