Contracts Counsel Responsibilities: Structure, draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including, collaboration, production, license, consultant, vendor, sponsorship, technology, media, talent, athlete, software, and various other documents relevant to diverse activities and operations. Lead and Manage the Contract Function. Lead and manage end-to-end contract management process on agreements throughout Organization-wide. Manage the intake, analysis, and editing of contracts, including identifying and escalating potential risks to the General Counsel. Manage workflow by creating priority lists for contracts in queue and regularly tracking the status critical contracts. Maintain frequent and timely communication with business units to ensure successful execution of contracts. Under the direction of the General Counsel, create, review, and update standard agreement templates in web-based platform for day-to-day operations and contribute to the formulation of template database, alternative provisions library and negotiation playbooks. Manage procedures for Legal Department's administration of Agreements, as well as provide staff trainings as necessary on contract process, and engage with teams to troubleshoot specific topics. Support maintenance of registered trademarks and other institutional documents. Support Board governance practices as dictated by the Organization's Bylaws and other legal and regulatory requirements. Assist broader Legal Department function as requested to help manage a wide variety of demands and projects, big and small, that arise in an in-house legal department.

Requirements: JD Degree from an ABA accredited law school. Admission and member in good standing of the New York Bar in New York. 3+ years relevant legal experience. Knowledge of principles and practices in a variety of areas of law, including corporate law, contracts, insurance, intellectual property, privacy, marketing and advertising, and non-profit. Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create and lead presentations. Demonstrated ability to analyze issues and think strategically. Capable of building relationships and possess the judgment and interpersonal skills to effectively attain beneficial outcomes. Results oriented, ability to work in a fast-paced, decision-making environment. Demonstrated integrity and high ethical values in decisions and dealings with others. Handles confidential information using discretion making, professional sensitivity and sound judgment. Superior attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, Outlook and Sharepoint and an aptitude for learning new software platforms. Schedule: Beginning January 2022, NYRR staff will be required to work in person on site for a minimum of two days a week on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday each week.
