Assistant General Counsel, Go-To-Market Education & Government Duties: Support the reseller/fulfillment partnerships and alliance contracts necessary to the success in the US public sector market. Manage the contracting and legal components of contract vehicles (both existing and future) across the Education and Government business. Have significant interaction with the company's sales and services management, business units, and customers nationwide. Manage multiple responsibilities and tasks in a fast-paced and high-growth environment. Help build and sustain a fast-growing business and have a proven track record of leading complex public sector transactions.

Qualifications: J.D. from a recognized U.S. Law School. Licensed to practice, and/or eligible for in-house registration. 10+ years of experience with a software or technology company. 5+ years of experience with US public sector market transactions, including experience with national contract vehicles and reseller/fulfillment partner contracting. Experience negotiating complex contracts and licensing arrangements, and resolving complex disputes, including experience counseling organizations on public sector requirements and compliance issues. Significant experience counseling global organizations on commercial and compliance issues. Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in highly regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, and government. Specific experience in a SaaS, cloud computing, enterprise software, or social network environment. Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills, including deal-making skills that go beyond negotiating legal terms and resolving legal issues. Measured business judgment and the ability to address complex opportunities and issues in creative and efficient ways. Comfortable and adept at teaming with sales leadership in fast-paced customer-facing transactions. Attention to detail, willingness to roll up their sleeves to get into the details and drive creative solutions. Ability to think on the fly and drive efficient deal process and fast decision making. Superior business judgment and the ability to address complex opportunities and issues in creative and effective ways. Ability to see around corners to identify opportunities and issues in our software space and participate fully with the business teams charting future sales directions. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to create and sustain lasting relationships with customers and management.
