Corporate Counsel

Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with customers, vendors and other third parties. Participate in the development and maintenance of strategic legal and compliance policies and initiatives. Conduct investigations and fact-finding on legal and compliance matters. Advise local sites on customer and supply chain matters, including contract matters, trade compliance, business dispute resolution and solving business problems. Assist, guide and provide support on human resources matters, including hiring, training, termination and post-termination issues, and human resources policies and procedures. Conduct limited litigation management in conjunction with outside counsel or provide assistance with quasi-litigation matters. Develop and implement processes to increase efficiency of our corporate recordkeeping, contract management and other administrative matters. Complete special projects and other assignments as requested.

Qualifications: JD Degree with strong academic credentials or other demonstration of aptitude, with 2+ years experience as an attorney. Ability to both take direction from management and work independently to prioritize and execute on numerous competing projects. Preference for a fast-paced working environment working with a flexible and cohesive legal team and doing your part to support that team. Proven ability to follow through on projects to completion. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Adept at filtering information to management and requesting further direction/support as appropriate. Adaptable to a fast-changing environment. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of contacts including in-house legal counsel, outside attorneys, senior management, and our many local sites throughout the United States and internationally. Excellent at time management and managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical thinking skills and judgment. Previous experience as a project manager, or coordinating multiple projects is an asset. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, and Power Point. Experience preferred in-house with a legal department or other significant corporate experience preferred.
