Associate Compliance Counsel

Associate Compliance Counsel Responsibilities: Report to the company's Chief Compliance Counsel. Will be leading corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives. Will provide Second level escalation point for regulatory compliance issues Responsible for drafting policies and procedures for internal controls framework. Overseeing the processes to ensure compliance. Responsible to support contract administration. Manage compliance aspects of client contracts. Design training materials and lessons learned. Review business activities for compliance requirements. Direct and approve document changes. Conduct business compliance exams and reporting. Escalation point for officer and signatory management.

Requirements: Law Degree. A member of the bar. 6 years of experience in a legal environment. 5 10 years mortgage or consumer collections industry experience required. Compliance knowledge required. Client relationship and deal management experience preferred. Contract experience preferred. PC skills, MS Office with strong knowledge of and use with Word and Excel. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of contacts, including outside attorneys, senior management, and business associates. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
