Senior Corporate Counsel, Private Brands

Senior Corporate Counsel, Private Brands Duties: Counsel senior business clients on strategic initiatives and key legal issues throughout the life cycle of our products. Provide counsel on product development, technology/innovation and science, and post-launch regulatory matters. Support the Private Brands Technology and Marketing teams; Accelerator; global supply chain and quality teams in the EU, US, and China; and product management teams responsible for launching new Hardlines, Softlines, and Consumables products and managing the existing catalog. Work closely with colleagues in Sustainability, Social Responsibility, Product Safety, and Trade Legal. Develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways. Build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

Qualifications: J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in one State Bar. 10+ years of legal experience as a licensed attorney, including experience in product litigation or product regulatory practice. Preferred: Prior in-house experience is preferred. Experience representing brand owners or contract manufacturers in products liability or regulatory work is a plus. Strong analytical, communication, and client interaction skills. Ability to work independently while contributing successfully to cross-functional teams. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines.
