Assistant General Counsel (Real Estate) The candidate should advise on a broad range of real estate transactional matters, including land acquisition, joint ventures, and land bank transactions, corporate leases/subleases, and confidentiality agreements. Draft and revise real estate documents and agreements. Review and advise on commercial agreements. Work on other non-real estate-related matters, learning new substantive areas as needed. Collaborate with outside counsel and coordinate with internal division teams as needed. Other duties as assigned. Should have a J.D. with excellent academic credentials. California bar admission, in good standing, required. Should have 4-7 years of significant experience in sophisticated real estate transactional matters, including drafting/negotiating transaction agreements. Strong drafting and analytical skills, with high attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines. Self-motivated and responsive to requests for assistance. Creative thinking in reaching practical resolutions when possible. Willingness to learn new areas of law.
