Government Contracts Counsel

Government Contracts Counsel Duties: Negotiate subcontracts with commercial companies supporting the Company's federal contracts. Provide legal advice and counsel on a broad spectrum of government contract and subcontract issues, such as teaming agreements, proposals, contracts, and subcontracts. Keep current on federal contracting and subcontracting compliance requirements issues, particularly requirements related to Supply Chain Risk Management, Buy American Act and Trade Agreements Act, utilization of small and disadvantaged businesses, and mandatory flow downs and subcontractor certifications. Assist in developing training material and educating Sourcing, Product, Sales, Proposals, Operations, and Contracts teams. Advise the Federal Sales and support teams and perform general research and writing in support of a variety of government contract and compliance-related projects.

Required Qualifications: J.D. Degree. Outstanding academic credentials. Bar membership and needed licenses. 6+ years of relevant work experience. Thorough knowledge of federal contracting and compliance statutes and regulations. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience with federal government contracts. Excellent drafting, negotiating, and oral and written communication skills.
