Corporate Counsel The candidate will collaborate with the Human Resources team to generate, update, and implement training on HR and employment law topics. Provide legal guidelines and support regarding the company's hourly national workforce. Update employment-related templates for compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Provide litigation support related to employment matters. Support diversity, equality, and inclusion initiatives. Review, draft and negotiate agreements with customers and vendors (including Master Services agreements, non-disclosure ageements, services agreements, collaboration agreements, licensing agreements, and other general corporate contracts). Assistance in review and negotiation of company financing documents including lender and investor related agreements. Partner with management to provide strategic, business-oriented employment law guidance for successful execution of company initiatives. Manage and maintain a variety of insurance policies, and work with carriers on claims submissions and resolutions. Maintain knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and industry guidance that impact company's agreements and business practices. Maintain good corporate standing, licenses and permits in all states where the company operates. Partner with operations management to ensure federal and state compliance with all environmental and other applicable regulatory requirements involved in our business operations. Should have Law Degree from an ABA accredited law school and State Bar membership (California preferred). Must have 5+ years of relevant legal experience in a law firm, automotive company and/or a mobility based startup company's legal department. Experience with California wage and hourly laws a plus.
