Counsel Contracts Perform specialized duties related to the negotiating, drafting and approval of a wide range of vendor contracts and related documents, including any vendor screening required by law, contract or policy. Balance risk with business needs and readily adapt to high demand, fast turnaround environment. Contract responsibilities cover all facets of the business including marketing, intellectual property, sophisticated technology, commercial leases, construction and design, e-commerce, and property operation agreements. Respond to requests for summaries, extracts or contract terms and prepare same as needed. Resolve legal issues and disputes that arise from contract interpretation matters. Supervise and report critical contact details such as execution, renewal and termination dates. Communicate, train and assist business partners with vendor contracting compliance processes. Liaise with procurement, accounting and other departments requiring vendor contract information. Develop and maintain form contracts and train business partners on use of same. Pay attention to detail, be highly organized and have a proven understanding of the company's policies and practices. Prepare reports and research projects as requested. Perform duties and collaborate with legal team members and business clients as assigned or needed.
Qualifications: Must have a Juris Doctorate degree. License to practice law. 5 + years of vendor contracting experience in house or law firm. Must have general knowledge of privacy, real estate and intellectual property matters as related to business enterprises. License to practice law in Florida or ability to obtain in-house exemption and 5 + years experience with vendor contracting experience are preferred.
