Corporate Staff Attorney Duties: Initiate, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including vendor, software development, IP-licensing, customer subscription, and similar contracts, while focusing on efficiency, accuracy, and fast turnaround time. Develop and maintain jurisdictional and subject matter expertise in the areas of data use and protection, particularly with respect to compliance with global privacy laws and regulations. Draft and negotiate privacy and security provisions for contracts involving processing of personal data. Draft and maintain privacy policies and notices governing employee, owner and customer data. Advise business regarding data collection, use and management in compliance with applicable policies, legal requirements and industry best practices. Act as a proactive business partner to all levels of the organization and build trusted advisor relationships in addition to influencing and collaborating effectively across all levels of the Company. Exhibit deep knowledge of the Company's business and provide creative and practical legal advice and decision-making acumen to achieve business objectives in compliance with applicable laws and in alignment with the Company's ethics and values.
Qualifications: JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Member in good standing of a state Bar. 2-5 years of relevant legal experience, a combination of law firm and in-house experience preferred. 1-3 years experience in privacy, software or telecommunications technology. Some litigation experience is preferred, although this is a non-litigation position. Excellent analytic ability, nuanced judgment, and exceptional problem-solving skills. Experience using CRM software, electronic signature applications, virtual data room applications, and cloud-based document management systems preferred. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Google Suite applications. Ability to prepare and maintain policy and procedure documentation. Ability to understand technology-driven projects and complex data flows.
