Corporate Counsel - Outside Sales and Services Duties: Advise Enterprise Pro, HD Rental and Home Services teams with regard to day-to-day legal and regulatory issues. Review legal documents (e.g., deeds, contracts, subpoenas) to identify key issues. Accurately identify and assess contractual, business, and market risks and opportunities and advise business groups on related strategies. Manage special projects or other department or Company initiatives. Contract drafting, negotiating and managing key vendor agreements. Updating of customer-facing and service provider-facing documents. Negotiate settlement of matters (e.g., pre-litigation, regulatory fines). Manage outside counsel and other vendors. Qualifications: Juris Doctor and required certifications for practicing law. Should have 5 +years. Significant experience in construction law. Strong experience in construction law is preferred. Experience analyzing laws, regulations and contract trends for potential impact on applicable business goals and objectives. High degree of oral and written communication. Project management and client service skills, including the ability to work as a team member to maintain project timelines and foster strong relationships with business clients and team members. Proven drafting skills. Strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint). The ability to manage outside counsel. The ability to work independently on numerous activities and prioritize them while meeting deadlines. The ability to confront difficult issues in a professional, assertive and proactive manner. The ability to aggressively tackle new responsibilities and initiatives prior to receiving sufficient training.
