Corporate Counsel Duties: Support AWS's public sector sales team, negotiating, drafting, and advising on a wide range of procurement, technology licensing, and compliance matters with a primary focus on the delivery of AWS Professional Services to government entities. Work directly with the business, providing day-to-day advice for senior executives and other business members on government contracting issues, resolving queries that arise in existing relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
Qualifications: J.D. and admitted to at least one state Bar. 5+ years of public sector legal experience or experience with customers and transactions involving regulated industries like healthcare or telecommunications. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in-house at a technology company, law firm, or government agency advising clients in the government contracting or technology industry. Experience engaging with U.S. government contracting officials, system integrators, prime contractors, and resellers. Experience advising on professional services or consulting services agreements. Knowledge of government procurement processes and contracting laws, rules, and regulations.
