Senior Counsel - Employment Law

Senior Counsel - Employment Law Duties: Responsible for managing complex labor and employment law matters that affect the company and for advising in-house business clients. Periodically counsel members of senior management. Manage outside counsel and possible supervision of other in-house attorneys paralegals or administrative assistants.

Qualifications: Law degree from an accredited law school and a license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction. 6 plus years of legal experience required. Must be skilled at minimizing and retiring employment and labor law risk in a strategic, yet cost-effective manner. Should possess a high level of proficiency in one or more of the following subjects: complex employment law advice and counsel, traditional labor law, international employment law, or employment litigation. Should be familiar with both standard and complex legal concepts, practices, and procedures. Must be able to work collaboratively with other legal staff members and stakeholders. Must exhibit the competence and professionalism needed to earn the trust of members of the company's management team. Standard computer skills. Superior written and verbal communication skills. A team player who can effectively communicate with and respond to clients in a timely manner. Must be able to work independently with outside counsel. Must exercise good judgment in all tasks.
