Senior Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Act as counsel to senior management on a broad range of legal issues including commercial transactions, mergers & acquisitions, joint venture formation, finance, public company reporting, corporate governance and compliance, and litigation management among other matters. Provide strategic and practical legal advice to our business units and executives. Develop and maintain strong relationships across the company by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including commercial, tax, manufacturing, engineering and leasing. Performs other duties as assigned by the General Counsel.
Qualifications: Should have 7 years of relevant legal practice experience with 4 working in the corporate or commercial practice group in a multi-service law firm and the balance either in law firm practice or in-house. Solid experience with basic commercial documentation, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate governance. General knowledge of corporate operations; experience with the reporting obligations of publicly traded corporations is a plus. Experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: corporation finance, cybersecurity, employment, and employee benefits, intellectual property, joint venture formation and management, litigation management, public company reporting, and trade compliance. Excellent English (written and spoken) language skills. Fluency in Arabic, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, or Romanian is a plus. Strong, conscientious work ethic, and work well with others in a diverse environment. Ability to obtain membership in the Oregon State Bar through application within the first year of joining the team. Ability to use a computer and common desktop documentation applications.
