Corporate Counsel

Corporate Counsel Duties: Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating company contracts, requests for proposals and other legal documents. Advising executive members on new laws, existing laws and legal rights that would impact the functionality of the business. Providing legal and strategic support across the entire company. Overseeing the legal matters of the business, including acting as the business legal representative. Maintaining knowledge of the company's legal documents and operations. Crafting and reviewing legal strategy in response to any litigation. Keeping a record of all legal documents and proceedings for the company. Facilitating filings of licensing forms and other statutory requirements. Communicating with outside counsel. Legally filing for the copyright of the intellectual property. Negotiating and drafting contractual agreements, such as real estate leases, and advising on employment matters. Developing the organization's policies on industry-specific issues, corporate governance, or regulatory affairs. Remain informed of all the latest changes on the federal, state, city and county measures that could impact the operation of the business. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelors of Science degree in Law or Juris Doctor degree. A Master of law degree is highly preferred. Should have 5+ years of experience in regulatory, general corporate, transactional, intellectual property, and compliance issues. Must hav e4+ years of experience in a law firm, with experience in corporate compliance. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
