Corporate Counsel Accountabilities: Provide legal advice to the Corporate Legal Affairs Manager and all employees of the company. Draft legal memoranda, correspondence, corporate policies, and other documents. Manage outside counsel to ensure quality legal work at an appropriate cost. Performs other related duties/responsibilities as assigned. Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems; receives instruction, guidance and direction from others. No direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Qualifications: A Doctor of Jurisprudence degree is required. Current law license or eligibility to establish a law license in Tennessee within the first 3 months of employment. Should have 3-7 years of legal experience required. Legal affairs experience in a corporate and/or manufacturing environment or automotive manufacturing/sales or related industries preferred. Excellent writing skills. Ability to build relationships and inspire trust within the organization.
