Senior Legal Counsel (Employment) Duties: Provide legal advice, counsel, and support to key partners in Human Resources and Operations on a broad range of employment-related legal matters and professionally manage relationships with business partners. Monitor legislation, regulations, case law, and government enforcement activities relating to all employment-related areas. Represent the Company in complex employment-related litigation, negotiations, settlement discussions, and related legal issues. Handle employment-related matters that have a significant impact on the Company's operations, strategies, or profitability. Draft complex legal documents; review and negotiate documents prepared by outside counsel. Work cross-functionally with partners across all geographic regions.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor degree. 5+ years of legal experience as an employment law attorney, preferably with private practice and in-house experience. Effective in building partnerships, functioning well with project teams, and working for the success of the team. Extensive experience providing counsel and guidance regarding complex employment law issues. Extensive experience handling state and federal employment law matters of all types. Extensive experience handling employment litigation and administrative matters. Ability to analyze employment law and regulatory issues and provide effective advice to clients at all levels on complex employment legal matters. Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work while handling and leading multiple matters of significance. Ability to work effectively in a complex environment with a high degree of collaboration.
