Litigation Counsel

Litigation Counsel Duties: Work with and assist the Vice President and Chief Litigation Counsel on various litigation matters. Manage outside, non-insured litigation, including, without limitation, case strategy, supervision of outside counsel, legal process, and subpoenas. Interprets laws, rulings, and regulations. Examines legal data to determine the advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuits. Manage written and electronic discovery. Prepare and/or review business contracts and administer other legal matters.

Qualifications: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and licensed to practice law or eligible to waive in or sit for the bar in the State of Tennessee; 3-5 years experience handling complex litigation and associated matters required. Experience in and understanding of various aspects of healthcare law and litigation and complex e-discovery issues required.
