Senior Attorney-Commercial Contracts The candidate will draft and negotiate technology-related commercial contracts, including contracts relating to technology outsourcing and procurement, software licensing, SaaS, software development and data and analytics; handle commercial contracts in support of other business functions, as needed. Provide advice on contractual matters to internal business clients. Closely collaborate with internal clients and cross-functional teams to identify, address and communicate risks and to understand relevant business objectives. Streamline and drive efficiency in contract review and completion by creating and maintaining form agreements and other processes, as appropriate. Support special projects as requested.
The candidate should have 6-8 years of experience with technology contracts at a law firm and/or in-house legal department. Knowledge of and experience with cyber security matters a plus. Excellent drafting and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect and develop positive relationships with a variety of internal clients. Ability to work independently in identifying multi-disciplinary legal issues, analyzing risks and effectively negotiating solutions that minimize risk while achieving business goals. Ability to effectively negotiate with third parties. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with both legal and non-legal professionals. Comfort balancing multiple matters simultaneously and efficiently in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and follow-up. Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts or eligible for Massachusetts In-House Counsel Registration.
