Associate General Counsel- Contracts (Purchasing and Privacy) The candidate will review and negotiate all firm purchasing contracts, including technology, supplies, marketing, subscription and other vendor agreements. Work closely with internal purchasing sponsors and compliance groups in the development of a robust purchasing program. Review, advise on and negotiate privacy contract terms in client and vendor/supplier contracts. Participate in A&M's global privacy program and counsel around privacy contract matters, including DPA's and other counterparty contract terms. Should have significant experience negotiating technology contracts. Understanding of and experience advising on prevailing privacy and information security laws and principles (including data and cyber security). Should have 6-10 years of experience as an attorney, in-house experience helpful. Member of the NY State Bar. Requires a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. In-depth experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. Strong interpersonal skills to be utilized to effectively communicate clients and A&M executives. Takes ownership of issues, is highly responsive and driven to take action quickly.
