Associate Counsel, Global Contracts The candidate will be drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising clients on a variety of contracts supporting global business, including master services agreements, clinical trial agreements, informed consent documents, academic and research agreements, consulting agreements, and confidentiality agreements, alongside interaction and correspondence with vendors, academic institutions, clinical trial sites and contract research organizations. Acting as a Legal point of contact with clients and support training at all levels, across multiple functions and geographies, and at a high level of responsiveness and customer service. Interacting closely with the Legal team and business clients to understand business requirements and to implement alternative and innovative approaches that are consistent with management priorities as well as legal and business policies and procedures. Providing pragmatic and timely counsel to support clinical operations. The candidate should have 4-6 years of experience with a life sciences company, preferably a multinational pharmaceutical company, and/or a reputable, highly-rated law firm, or a combination of both. Experience dedicated to drafting, negotiating, and advising on life sciences contractual matters. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple commitments. Demonstrated ability to independently identify, analyze and render legal advice on business issues and general corporate matters. Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and flexibility, and the ability to interface effectively throughout all levels of an organization as well as with external parties. High adaptability to circumstances and work partnership situations. Evident potential to establish professional credibility with clients by delivering clear, concise, and accurate advice, including the appropriate level of detail and anticipation of follow-up questions. Experience working within dedicated contract management ecosystems. Admitted to the Massachusetts bar or be eligible to apply for in-house or reciprocal bar membership in Massachusetts. Willingness to travel approximately 20% of working time for business purposes.
