Corporate Counsel Responsibilities: Working directly with the business and developing strategies for handling legal issues in creative, efficient, and business-centric ways. Serving as lead counsel on strategic deals and new product launches, while also providing day-to-day legal advice. Handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries, and overseeing some aspects of regulatory compliance. Developing approaches to complex procurement rules and regulations. Driving simplifications and improvements to our government contracting and compliance processes. Working with the Public Policy team on legislative developments that impact business.
Qualifications: Juris Doctor and membership in good standing in at least one state bar. 5+ years of legal experience as a transactional attorney with experience in US government contracting and procurement processes. Preferred Qualifications: Experience at a law firm, government agency, or in-house advising clients on US federal contracting and compliance with government procurement laws. Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines. Strong written and oral communication skills.
