Senior Employment Law Counsel

Senior Employment Law Counsel The candidate will lead a team that will consist of lawyers located in the United States, Brazil, and potentially other countries in the Americas. Advise senior level HR in the Americas on advice and counsel issues, such as terminations, reasonable accommodations, and organizational matters including risk mitigation. Provide advice and counsel on all aspects of employment law to the firm's operations in the Americas. Supervise lawyers managing special projects involving US employment law. Supervise investigative teams and ensure proper privilege practices and guidance for the firm. Support and collaborate with colleagues on the company's strategy for employment disputes. Work collaboratively with a cross-regional team of employment lawyers to ensure consistent advice across regions. Draft and negotiate a wide variety of employment-related agreements. Develop and conduct employment-related training. Should have Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school. Should be a member in good standing of the New York or California bar association or another bar association with the ability to register as in-house counsel in New York or California. Should have 12+ years of employment law experience in private practice or a corporate legal department with a highly regarded firm or organization. Must have the ability to research complex legal questions. Must have demonstrated judgment, personal integrity, discretion regarding confidential matters, and interpersonal skills. - Excellent written and oral communication skills.
